Hello, the logic board of my early 2011 Macbook Pro is broken. Failure in the electric circuit beneath the graphic processor. Apple and the local Apple Partner told me they can`t fix it. They have to exchange the logic board. They would charge me the Price of a new 13" MBP. So I will exchange it myself. (Did it before with other Macbooks) When I compare the late 2011 model logic board (photo) with mine, I can´t find any differences. I found a late 2011 17" logic board here in Germany, there are no early 2011 logic boards on the free market at the moment. Will it fit in and more important, will the system work properly ? The technical specifications, apart from a discrete improved graphic card and processor speed enhancements, should be more or less the same. Greetings Jan

Every Mac says there’s no difference except for a faster processor and superior graphics. Your HD and OS would work just fine… you’ll probably have to do some firmware updates. To be sure check with the vendor that they guarantee a fit. If this answer was helpful please remember to return and mark it Accepted.
