Hi @trimmerbird, I think you had set to a higher resolution, etc else, if the picture was taken, you can use online image resize to compress your pictures. you can try this,
- Turn on the Canon camera by pushing the toggle or turning the wheel at the top of the camera – depending on your model – to the “On” position.
- Press the “Func/Set” or “Menu” button, depending on your PowerShot series.
- Press the labeled buttons that serve as left and right arrows or press the “Omni Selector” wheel to scroll through the settings. Select “Compression/Recording Pixels” or “Recording Pixels.”
- Press the “Func/Set,” “Func” or “OK” button to save your settings. Tips The recommended resolution for most digital photos is M2 or M3 at a resolution of 1,024-by-768 photos for some cameras as 1,600-by-1,200 for other Canon series. With this resolution, the Canon PowerShot produces clear photos small enough for emails but detailed enough for digital documents. For high quality, space-saving photos at any resolution, set your compression setting to “Fine.” Credit: http://smallbusiness.chron.com/change-re…
