Chosen Solution

Hi there, For the past couple of months, my laptop has been shutting off randomly (typically around the 40% mark). When I go to turn it on, it reads at 6% every time. It dies after I hit ENTER after filling password. If the charger is connected, and it makes it past the password wall - I can detach the charger and it will sit at 6% for hours of usage before actually dying and requiring charge. I have had the battery replaced twice now. The first battery read healthy at 97% on 1 cycle with Coconut Battery - however, after not even 15 cycles, dropped to 73% and eventually read “Service Required”. I got the battery replaced today, and after 1 cycle it has dropped to 94.3%. These batteries are both genuine Apple replacements. I have tried resetting SMC, PRAM etc & even performed a diagnostics with Apple. All the sensors appear to be healthy and working as intended, and yet the laptop still shuts off. Prior to the first battery replacement in June 2020, the laptop had a shockingly low battery healthy and was being charged by a cable that was exposed and twisted (wrapped in electric tape). Is it possible the cable has fried the Logic Board? Or could this be an OS bug? Thanks, Alex
