Chosen Solution
Hi guys, So my laptop display looks pretty busted, and I was wondering if its possible to fix it. Upon turning it on, I get: purple and green bands going horizontally across the screen a white vertical band and what looks like a crack parts of the screen showing what another part of the screen already shows ( in the imgur link the skype and dropbox shortcuts are shown twice on the screen) Imgur link for picture: http://imgur.com/a/Uur9P Notes: I also included images from where the case is starting to fall apart, because I’m not sure if that would affect the display. So far I’ve tried turning it on and off again (didn’t work). I’ve also tried plugging the laptop into my TV, and when I do the TV perfectly shows what should be on the laptop screen (so I dont think its the graphics card). Can I fix this? Thanks!
That screen is toast. Looks like some sort of impact damage. It will need to be replaced before it will work again. https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/mod… This will be the replacement, but double check your part numbers on the bottom of your laptop.
