Someone gave me a laptop (acer aspire 5000) and it requires hdd password. It drives me crazy..I know the BIOS password..but i cannot access my hard drive…because i want to reinstall the windows..(XP)..Can I get some help, please? Thnak you.
Hi, The following method removes all the data on the HDD. Just so you are aware. Remove the HDD and install it as a secondary drive in a working PC. Then format the HDD and then reinstall it back into your laptop and install the OS.
