Hi I have a Lenovo S440 that I have had for 18 months. However today it will not power on. When I plug in the charger the led blinks 3 times to say it is charging and then when I push the power button the led lights up but nothing happens. You can not here the CPU fans or anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Alex
Hi, Try the emergency reset procedure. Here is a link to the user manual. Scroll to p101 in the manual, section headed “Computer stops responding” and follow the instructions. https://content.etilize.com/User-Manual/…
Alex try hard reset. First remove the battery then unplug the laptop next hold the power button down for 60 seconds then replace the battery and power cord and start your computer. If this doesnt work remove the ram and leave it out of the machine for 5 minutes then reinstall. what we are trying to acomplish here is remove any static discharge that has built up in your computer. Hope this helps
I just took the battery and power cord out for a minute then put it back in and hold the power button for a while then it come back on.
Hi, just want to say I had the same problem…power LED blinking 3 times…and these suggestions worked. Unplugged, removed battery and waited for 1 minute. Thanks.
