I have “DELL Inspiron 14 N4050” when i turns it ON BIOS starts and then black screen appears with massage “PXE-M0F: media test failure ,check cable.” and “PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM”. i hear a beep with these massages on black screen. when i tried to sort it out by myself i come to know its HDD disk is not being detected.can i get my data back? if yes then how?
Usman Rasheed like mathiasaat stated, check the drive on another computer first. Sometimes there is a possibility to recover the data by replacing the HDD controller board. This will only work if the drive did not suffer a mechanical failure. In case of mechanical failure you will need the tools and knowledge that data recovery companies have (very expensive). To change the controller board, take a look on here. Different drive, same idea.
Hello! The problem could either be the HardDrive it self, or the the bridge that connects the hdd to computer. Have you tried to connect the hdd to any other computer? If this is not working the harddrive is probably dead. There are companies that could save your data but it is expensive.
