My Laptop Model: as seller told me : aspire-e5-473 on other hand “Model no: n15c1 " written in laptop’s backside. So the problem is my brother tried to change the battery. unfortunately he didn’t noticed that he is trying to join the connector in reverse. so that it wasn’t fitted here . after few moment of trying he saw laptop is smoking 🤦🏻♂️ . after opening the laptop, he founds an IC has burned.
it burned so badly so its impossible to see what is the IC number. and also after removing this IC we saw there are some footprints also burned
. but we just figure out that the IC no printed on the board. i need to know the ic number. and also is this possible to bypass the burned footprint. Thanks in advance <3
@nurullahsadekin the IC that came off is a SY8286CRAC QFN20 DC-DC step down regulator. Here is the datasheet for it SY8286ARAC C178251 Actually, you are in luck. this is not as bad as it looks. The pins (2,3,4,5) that you mistook as blown/torn actually all connect right there. So pin 2,3,4,5 all get soldered to that. They are all connecting to +19VB_5V . Just careful that you do not connect pin 1 to that. :-), If you do not have access to the tools or the skill set needed, you may have to consider replacing the motherboard.
Just to point out the position of the IC and the surrounding components
No bypass needed. Just get a replacement IC and solder it on there. Nicely please :-))
