hi guys and girls, first of all thanks for your help in advance. My iMac keeps blowing l9000 on logic board. First one blew randomly. I got a new logic board. iMac powered on and blew the L9000 on the new logic board as well. I don’t know what is happening? i checked the diagnostics leds 1,2,3 light up but 4th doesn’t. iMac powers but no chime that might be Bcz I removed the HD and disk drive. Any help is highly appreciated.
I think your looking at the collateral damage not the cause! As you can see in this schematic snippet
The Inductor is on the 12volt feed to the displays T-CON logic on the back side of the display panel. So the cause is something within the display panel. At this point you’ll need to replace the inductor on the logic board as well as try another display assembly.
