My old Kobo Touch’s charging port has come loose. If you shake it you can hear and see it move around. Is there any way to fix it?
Hi , Here’s a teardown video which shows how to open the tablet that will help. Opening the tablet will allow access to the charge port connector which is soldered onto the motherboard. You will need smd (surface mount device) soldering skills and tools to effect the repair. There are videos on YouTube that show how to solder smd type USB connectors. If doing this yourself seems too daunting, contact a reputable, professional electronics repair or mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote.
