Hello sir Can you help me to know my logic board model number ? My Mackbook Pro Early 2011’s Logic board had failed. so i am not sure which logic board should i purchase. here is detail of my macbook pro 2.0GHz MacBook Pro (MC721LL/A) quad-core Intel Core i7 Macbook Model No. A1286 4GB Ram, 500GB HardDisk. I am not sure that Apple use same logic board for All Core i7 processor of different GHz Processors. Please help to purchase right logic board for my macbook. Thanks PD Maxter

The boards are the same within model years… including early to late ‘11 so if you can find the faster (2.2GHz-2.5GHz) board it would work. Trying to move to a ‘12 board could give you problems with your current screen (I have no direct experience or knowledge of this… but the Graphic Chips are different so the connectors might be too…. ask your vendor to warranty fit before purchasing so there’s no restock fee if you attempt this change and it doesn’t work). If this Answer is helpful please remember to return and mark it Accepted.

You need a logic board from the same model year… and a warranty from the vendor it will fit your case. So that you don’t get stuck with “restocking” fees. FWIW The MacBook Pro “Core i7” 2.3 17-Inch (Early 2011) technically is a “configure-to-order” configuration of the MacBook Pro “Core i7” 2.2 17-Inch (Early 2011), but also is documented as a separate model, so ,if you can find a 2.3 logic board go for the upgrade. I see you’ve asked this same question three times. Perhaps you meant to contact iFixit directly? I think you should not attempt to do this repair yourself… you appear to lack sufficient thinking/reading comprehension skills. Good Luck, If this Answer is helpful please remember to return and mark it Accepted.

Pd Maxter, your logic board part number is 661-5850 and the logic board number itself is 820-2915-B. Hope this helps, good luck.
