I’ve used the alcohol method 2 dry it out and nothing still and it’s been over a month. The power was on so I’m thinking I zapped the battery or circuit board??
You do not specify what exactly you did with alcohol to dry it out. The proper DIY way to handle a water damaged phone is to open it, disconnect the battery, remove the logic board and clean it in at least 90% (preferably 99% IPA), brush (lightly) away any visible signs of water damage and then dry it. Even better is to remove the EMI shields from the logic board, clean it with specialized chemicals (Branson EC) in an ultrasonic bath, then oven dry it and reassemble. Sometimes that may work if the water damage is very recent (like hours or a day or two at most). Generally speaking though, if the device is powered on while wet, the main power rails start oxydizing and all kinds of damage can occur, more so if the water is salty, dirty or mineral laden. Since it’s been a month already, I would suggest you have your phone verified by a repair shop that does water damage and micro soldering repairs.
just pay for out of warranty replacement. Worth it for you.
