Chosen Solution
I am hard of hearing I need a kitchen timer with a LOUD alarm. If I bought a timer, would it work IF I wired a bigger/louder speaker to replace to one built into the timer ? OR would the power supply (batteries) not have the power to drive the speaker ? I am thinking of a 1 or 2 inch speaker.
I have had the same problem with battery operated timers. Most have a very high tone which is out of range of my hearing. I got about five in from iFixit and had to return them all. I finally got some out of China on eBay by searching for “Loud & timer”. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4…
