Hi, I have an issue with a MACBOOK. The keyboard only works if the CAPS lock is on. When I put the caps off, none of the keys work. Any ideas on where to start? Thank you.
First, boot into another OS to see if this is a software issue. Check both sides of the trackpad cable for burnt pins, check keyboard connector (on trackpad PCB) and if both look fine, try a test keyboard. Trackpad cable can cause weird issues, haven’t seen this in particular before, but have had ones before where the power button would work when pressed, but it wouldn’t register being held down. If it is not software, trackpad cable, or keyboard connector, it will be a keyboard issue.
