Chosen Solution
I have recently bought an iMac 600MHz. I’ve replaced the PRAM battery, hopping that it would resolve the problem. But the keyboard power button doesn’t boot the iMac. I have tried another iMac keyboard and the button initiates shutdown, but not start-up. Any idea’s?
After the biege machines, Apple discontinued the ability to start up from the keyboard. Use the power button on the right hand side of the optical port.
