@fritzpeppone - The SMC error is just a reflection of the true error which is within the power management logic within your logic board. This is likely a damaged component or corrosion damage on the logic board (of course the side you can’t see from the bottom) I think it’s wise to find someone with Mac logic board repair experience to help you here.
