The keyboard and trackpad on my macbook are not responding, and the USB ports don’t connect to an external keyboard/mouse. But the system boots up and gets to login perfectly fine. It also ran hot before, with the fan continually running at full turbo.
Likely a swollen battery. Pull the battery, press and hold the power button for 2 minutes, then plug in MagSafe charger.
