Works OK on an external keyboard. The D key was working intermittently so I removed the button and cleaned it. The scissor mechanism is OK. I notice the nipple seemed to be split. It looks hard to replace it, any ideas how to do so? Otherwise it’s a replacement keyboard.

Use a scalpel or blade (or just pull it off with your fingers since it’s ripped) to remove it, use double sided adhesive to attach a new one on there. When removed, press this area with your finger to make sure the keyboard is definitely not bad; it should register every press
