Hi, been getting kernel panic error. I’m gonna try booting from another drive in morning and also different ram but thought i would post error report as am at computer writing this just now. You may have sussed that one out already but i sometimes get a laptop groupie to do this sort of thing for me but they have all cleared off, realising because of my lack of ability to fix this that i must be a cowboy. Can’t really argue with that. Once you boot up from a different drive run Disk Utilities and do both fix permissions and the drive. I would also make sure you haver enough free disk space (better than a 1/4 of the drive should be free space) If you are tight clean up the drive and also think about running a good disk defragmentation program. I like Drive Genius put there are others that are just as good.
