Mike, this error code most likely indicates that the CONTROL LOCK has been activated. To deactivate the control lock press and hold the drain and spin button for 5 seconds. Or you can try to reset it by unplugging your machine, and plug it back in after 5-10 min.
On some models, the control lock is also the chime button. Press and hold that for 5 seconds, and you’re good as new.
Y’all another brand of Kenmore it’s the Extra Rinse and that is also your Control Lock/ mecv
On my model, pressing the Chime button, which is also Control Lock (CL) worked like a charm,
