Hi, I ordered and installed an ifixit replacement battery without any problems. The macbook booted up fine but then the screen went black again. This keeps happening all the time now, sometimes during the bootup process, sometimes later, but it never ran for more than 2 minutes yet. Is the battery the problem or rather the computer? thanks for your help, guys !! Sascha
Disconnect your new battery and put back the old one if still available or run without battery at all and soon you’ll know if it’s a battery or another kind of issue..
Does this happen when the MacBook battery is fully charged? Can you test and see if this happens while it’s just on the charger? Also what wattage charger are you using? (it’ll say on the charger). Last resort contact iFixit for a replacement if this always happens when that battery is plugged in, you can always try the old battery as well and do some further testing.
