My iPod just keeps on making the click sound and the red x still appears…hitting it isnt doing anything? any suggestions… is there someway i can disassemble it and fix the hard drive by pushing whatever is out of place back in?

Chris, Hitting it isn’t going to work. That old trick only works for stuck drives, and is only a temporary fix. There is not much that you can do, other than to replace the HDD. Follow this guide for the how to. Hope this helps, good luck.
