MacBook-Unibody-Model-A1342 early 2010 Help Please! I replace a loud fan as per “Installing MacBook Unibody Model A1342 Fan” by Walter Galan on ifixit. Followed ESD precautions etc. Now Mac powers up but just have a black screen. The white LED is on, the hard drive spins up , I tried shining a bright light to see if the LCD was not backlit :no presentation. It stays on and will shut off if hold down power button, Help Please!
the sleep light is always on or what ? if you hear the activity of volumes button then it means you mac is running . if you see the sleep light is always on then remove the ram from your mac and reinstall it again. and do a SMC reset by pressing buttons on left side together (Shift+control+option+ power button) for atleast 5 seconds by pressing and holding it reset all the hardware inside. then power up. you will see the screen if not then try to reconnect Lcd cable on the right side of the logic board. see the picture MacBook Unibody Model A1342 Display Replacement step number 9 Best of luck
