Replaced screen and digitizer with a ifixit. Touch screen locks up after three or four uses. Restart phone and worlds again for 3 or 4 times. Any ideas?
Did the cracked / damaged screen have touch still working on it before? If yes, does the touch screen completely die until you lock and unlock the phone or restart the phone? This can be caused by the touch IC being at fault. You can confirm this by using the linked troubleshooting guide for touch IC issue here: iPhone 6 Plus Touch Screen Not Working If the touch IC indeed does need to be replaced, take it to a reputable repair shop that does microsoldering / board level repairs. Make sure they know the M1 jumper fix for the touch IC for a permanent fix solution, if they don’t look for another repair shop.
