Hi, I broke my screen that is completely shattered so I removed the screen/lcd after seeing your instructions (till step 18 here iPhone 7 Plus LCD and Digitizer Replacement ). If I just connect ((steps 14 to 18 in reverse direction)) any new screen connectors to phone without transferring anything from broken screen to new screen (earpiece, home button, speaker etc.), can I switch-on phone for backing-up my data assuming nothing else is damaged in the phone? Am I in right direction? I am planning to order this screen that is OOS right now. Can I connect iphone 7 screen as well like this? It is showing available. https://www.fixez.com/catalog/product/vi… Attaching iphone current situation right now:

Thanks for help.

Your home button wont work so you may have some issues there if you haven’t got assistive touch on but I believe you can pull data off of it if you either connect it to itunes and create a backup (you will need to unlock the phone to allow the computer access to the phone) and restore to a new phone or you can go on the phone (assuming you can work it without a home button) and back up to iCloud and restore a copy of that phone on another phone.

With just a new screen, you should be able to transfer/backup your data (use assistive touch). The home button, front camera, and earpiece are not needed for that, but it’s a good idea to transfer those to the new screen so that the newly assembled phone will be fully functional.
