Hello, I have an iPhone 4 GSM 8GB model that I got from my friend and my Telus sim card (Also the carrier fir the phone) was not being recognised so, I automatically thought that I should do a factory restore, so I did but it just gives me error 16. I have tried EVERYTHING DFU mode, restore mode, PWNdfu mode, everything. And I still get error 16. I have the latest iTunes, Windows 8.1 and I’m trying to restore to iOS 7.0.4 Any help?
Error 16 usually points towards a hardware/ cable issue, try using a different data cable, or leave the phone plugged into the PC for a hour or 2 then try again. If all else fails take it to a repair shop so they can test internal components. Same happened to me and it turned out to be the lock button flex causing a short. Good Luck :P
Anyone got more info on this? have 2 mainboards with this problem.
