the screen works and i can see everything but it wont work when i touch the screen. and nothing is new on it has had past water damage but was long time ago.
jedd, there a few things that can cause this. Could be a bad digitizer (most likely that it has failed). It could also be that the connector is corroded or has become dislodged, as well as a bad digitizer circuit on the logic board (least likely) I would start by replacing the digitizer.
