My samsung galaxy S6 got rained on, and since then it will turn on and screen looks normal and functions normally, but it will only charge to 50%, but when I unplug it then it dies. Do I need to replace the charging daughter board? If I do, then will the home button finger ID still work?
Sounds like your battery is failing to due liquid. Any time you get liquid on a battery, you want to go with a new one. I would first try a new battery before replacing the daughterboard. If battery fails, then try the board. That should solve any issues you are having with this device. Samsung Galaxy S6 Battery Replacement Samsung Galaxy S6 Daughterboard Replacement
Both front and back glass is cracked, and bad battery, with all of these repairs, would it be cheaper to replace the phone?
