The display still works but the drop broke the left hand hinge pin out of the display; snapped the cheap pot metal and all. Am I stuck buying the entire display assembly. This is still in warranty but of course they won’t cover this!
If you’ve broken the frame (which is Aluminum, not pot-metal) then the frame must be replaced (a major DIY project). If you’ve broken a clutch (Apple speak for hinge) that would have to be replaced. If you’ve also damaged the Display cover that too would need replacement. If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it.
