How can I activate my second hand device
Is it asking for Apple ID account and password? If yes you can’t. The only way to get it unlocked is by contacting the original owner.
Jay, From forums I have read, if you are trying to activate an iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the activation lock. A security feature that prevents thieves from using a stolen or lost iPhone. You must contact the previous owner or who sold it to you to get permission to use the device. Previous owner can use/go to iCloud.com and remove the activation lock from there. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. If there is hesitation on their part I suggest you return the phone and get a refund.
