No power at all
Use a multimeter to test the electrical outlet first. If there is no power, flip the breaker switch in the main panel and test again. This will also allow the machine to reset (being unplugged for 5 minutes). Let us know your results.
If you are using a 2 to 3 prong adapter it will do just what you are describing. Has to be a grounded 3 prong outlet.
