I purchased the battery install kit, and had no problems as far as getting it installed. Followed the steps afterwards to properly charge it the first time around. I noticed at around 65% charge left, the battery level jumped down to 8% out of nowhere. Not really sure what happened but now I’m worried the battery isn’t any good. Has anyone run into this problem before? The battery info says the battery is in good health so, not really sure what to think. Here is more info on the battery though: Battery Information: Model Information: Serial Number: D8610************ Manufacturer: ifixit Device Name: bq20z451 Pack Lot Code: 0 PCB Lot Code: 0 Firmware Version: 2 Hardware Revision: 00aa Cell Revision: 2 Charge Information: Charge Remaining (mAh): 1933 Fully Charged: No Charging: Yes Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 8890 Health Information: Cycle Count: 2 Condition: Normal Battery Installed: Yes Amperage (mA): 4104 Voltage (mV): 11678 I added the screenshot of coconut battery as well. I just realized this seems to be a common issue with Ifixit batteries, for whatever reason.
I don’t see any issues with this battery currently. Are you sure you saw something which might be just normal as your system was active on something without your knowing so it ran the battery down. I would take another snapshot when you see it again.
