I have had my MacBookpro 17’’ for a long time now and is really happy with it. but one day my iSight stopped working and cannot be found in the connected hardware. I was think it might just be a loss connection or that the camera in the screen that is broken have you heard about it before and do you maybe have an solution?
The software that Apple uses to check the camera is iChatAV. If that does not see the camera, then the camera connector should be checked. Check to see if the built-in iSight camera appears using “/Applications” > “Utilities” > “System Profiler.app” Also try booting in Safe mode by holding down the Shift key then reboot normally.
