Hi, I was just wondering if I could get a workaround if the iSight camera connector on the logic board has fallen off. Update (01/14/2017)
No workaround. You will have to try soldering this back on. If you have pulled the pads off (they not accepting solder), you will have to run wires for each individual pin, if the anchor pads are still present. If you have ripped the pads off, I would learn to live without the camera.
Hi Reece, I have the same problem. The pads are off. I can leave without the camera but apparently kernel_task can’t :D The fans are turning at their maximum and kernel_task takes 500% of the CPU. Any idea how to tell my Mac to completely ignore the camera?
