I purchased a battery from a local retailer but I was just wondering if this is the battery manufacture date. The 2016 12 08. Also what is a battery’s shelf life. Is this battery too old? Thanks
I would think that is a poorly chosen internal part number. I just checked two official batteries I pulled from customer devices and they have the date listed in the top gray box on the black wrapping with each segment separated by a /. Those dates are marked 2017/12/20 and 2018/01/08, but the number on the ribbon cable on those official batteries matches yours.
