Please refer to the following image. What’s the purpose of the cable that extends from the main ribbon? Is it just there to adjust firmly the wireless charging ribbon? Or does electricity flow through it?
While I was removing the battery of my iPhone XR I accidentally stretched that part, though it did not break. However I’m not sure if I should be concerned as it doesn’t seem to connect to any phone component. Thanks.
Looks like the Hall effect sensor for the case cover or the compass. If the phone OS complains the sensor missing, replace it, otherwise the phone may keep trying to query it and heat up.
