I’m doing a screen repair on a 7 for the first time. There’s a black sticker covering something which looks important on the LCD cables. The screen is flickering and has coloured lines down it. Is it to do with the black sticker on there or will it just be a faulty screen? Also, should this sticker be taken off? What’s under there is what looks like some unusual orange connect point type thing? There is also a “+” on either side of the piece. Thanks <3
I recommend leaving it on.That tape is just there for preventing possible shorts but its usually fine if its off. If your screen is flickering I would say return it and get a new screen. It common for replacements to come defective. About 1 out of 12 or 15.
