Hello everyone, Liquid entered my 2019 MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar through the fans in the back and the following area of the logic board seems to have been burned (the case even contained black smoke mark). I’ve attached an image.
Is this fixable? Will I wil be able to retrieve my data otherwise? Thanks in advanced, ~N
The damage is part of the backlight power logic. This might be repairable! The reason I can’t give you a hard answer is it depends on what else is damaged and what is left of the traces. This will require some delicate surgery to repair. As far as gaining access to your data on the system that too might be possible! You’ll need access to a second Mac which has Thunderbolt3 ports.
