Hi, I’ve been given this Mac A1465 and just trying to work out whether this is a dead backlight or LCD screen before I attempt replacing the latter? I’ve put a torch through the apple logo and only see yellow no icons or anything resembling a normal desktop. I will try to connect a display port soon to check it’s functioning but wondering if anyone has a clue thanks.
While the backlight circuit is powering the backlight I still think you have deeper issues here! The lack of an image is telling the logic board is also in trouble. Make a thorough inspection of the logic board for corrosion damage. If you see signs take the board fully out to check the other side.
