so i watched mulitple ( and when i say that i mean MULTIPLE x20+) videos of people just “clicking” the tabs in while replacing the whole front screen etc… with little to no prob. ok, i know i am not professional and not even close to a pro and i expect it to be somewhat more difficult than they make it look , but really!!!??Either i am completely out to lunch or these people are from another planet , with extraterrestrial- mad- almost-god-like skills in getting these ridiculously microscopic pieces to align and just “click” in. … Is there a trick to it? PLEASE!!!!let me know what i am doing wrong before my phone grows wings and learns how to fly across the room!! :) ps. Apple, you have bestowed cruel and unusual punishment on the common folk who actually wanna fix their s*%# and not just throw it away…. shame on you!!!

The key is simply patience. It’s by no means easy to feel when its properly aligned and if you press too hard when it isn’t you may damage either half of the connector, making the job virtually impossible. In some cases the ribbon is so short that it very easily pops open again while you’re trying to close all the others. If you’re still struggling after 5 minutes, go and stroke the cat for a bit and then come back - but make sure you brush all the cat fur off your hands before you try again.
