My Asus g73sw charger adaptor I bought seems in very new condition but as I plug in to the wall the light on the box doesn’t turn on. That’s why I’m wondering how do you open this type of charger? Just want to see if any capacitors aren’t burnt or leaking since that can be causing the problem? The 2nd picture I believed I some type of screw but not sure if I can removed them since it looks it has a pin in the middle of the screw.
I found out how to open it up you need a special type of screw adaptor tip. I opened it up inside it looked very damaged even the board was cracked. I think someone try to fix it but couldnt done it. No voltage with multimeter Thanks for replys guys.
Hi @fernando21 I would suggest checking the power adapter first using the multimeter to confirm for any DC output voltages. What kind of adapter were you provided with? the square one or rectangle one?
