Help me, if anyone knows about this. Thank you!

Hi @computerkrayzee, I think it is the same rule as for fixing any electronic devices - know how the device functions, how all the components that are used in a CCTV system interact and what it has been setup to do. Your user ID indicates an interest in computers. If this is correct then you know how a computer works and what it’s supposed to do and what to look for when it doesn’t. It’s the same with CCTV just a different electronic system that you have to know about Read the product literature on what is does, what features it has, how all the components are connected with each other and communicate with each other etc. CCTV is promoted as a security system so there are lots of different features and options to be aware of, e.g. CCTV PIR cameras, CCTV cameras, alarms, networking options, cable connections, wireless connections etc . If you know how it works and what is supposed to happen normally, then it is easier to find out what’s wrong when it doesn’t. If you’re talking about board level repairs to the components e.g. DVR or cameras etc then the service manuals or schematics are usually the best thing to have
