My Macbook air 2017 died because of motherboard failure. Replacing it is as expensive as buying a new one, but I need to retrieve my data from the dead Macbook, So, Is there an adapter for the MBA 2017 SSD so it works as a USB external drive? All I’ve found is for older MBA models which I’m not sure if it would work.
Sure, although not very cheap: https://www.amazon.com/Sintech-External-… However, try to find an indipendent lab into component level repairs for evaluation and a quote, unless the Mac was flooded they may be able to offer a decently priced repair and save the Mac.
