I removed the hard drive for my old G4, which died after many years of hard use. I got a IDE connector, but I need a case for it (3x6x1/2”). It is a USB Universal Drive Adapter. I’ve been assured it is “pretty sturdy,” but it is vulnerable to dust, etc. The case will need to have two openings at the sides at the top : 1, for the USB cord leading to the computer port; 2, for the USB port on the adapter itself. (Not really needed.)
Hi Joy, Just search “ide to usb external enclosure” on the web . You will find them for $15 to $20 , usually dual SATA III/IDE.
