Hello. I recently replaced the thermal paste for my MacBook Air 2017 following the ifixit guide. When reassembling everything, I turned on the laptop and found out the MacBook charger was turning orange or green which the MacBook wasn’t charging, the audio wasn’t working, the computer wasn’t sleeping and the fan isn’t working (0rpm). I used Apple Diagnostics which found problems with the fan and the SMC. My question is there a problem with the I/O flex cable, I/O board or the logic board?

What Thermal paste did you use and did you over do it, getting paste onto the green chip carrier components (a common issue).
