Hi, My MBPro (13” early 2011) has recently been losing the system time. Normally I would look to replace a logic board/motherboard battery.. is there a battery of this type on an Early 2011 13” Macbook Pro? Thanks

The unibody machines use a capacitor. This issue usually this points to a compromised or nonfunctional battery and you need to change it to get rid of the error. Refer to this guide to get to the battery and replace it. If that doesn’t work, you will need to locate the time capacitor and replace it.
