Hi there, I am very interested in upgrading my 2016 15" Macbook Pro with touchbar to 32GB. Is this possible? Can the original 16GB RAM be removed and replaced with a 32GB module? Thanks for any advice on this!
No, not even the SSD is upgradeable, don’t even think about RAM.
No MacBook ram can be upgraded since 2012.
Thanks @elvrich09 and @tomchai. The SSD on new entry-level 13" Macbook Pros is removeable (and logically, upgradeable) hence I am hoping the RAM might also be… http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/tear… I haven’t seen any site that confirms what the RAM status is on 2016 Macbook Pros. No one has their hands on the 15" Touchbar models, so in time hopefully we’ll get an answer.
