afther replacing the cd player i broke the camera cable (since i had to reinstall windows i dont know if its related to the issue) now the keyboard backlight isnt working in windows i tried to check setting and the f keys and even hold my hand to the camera aera to check the keyboard light works in os x
Yes the light sensor is connected via the camera cable (ALS). The reason it is working in OS X and not Windows is probably driver related. ALS is only responsible for turning the keyboard backlight off if the ALS detects too much light, so if it is unplugged it will not affect keyboard backlight functionality.
