On the teardown of apple watch, it talks about a microphone flex cable, which is part of the force touch assembly. Is this incorrect information? (Original apple watch) I tore a part of the force touch sensor and my microphone isnt working. Could be a coincidence. I bought the watch broken. -thanks
It is not part of it. I have found an apple watch 1st generation Microphone and speaker flex cable online. This cable is in a complete different area than the force touch cable. I fixit must have messed something up in their teardown.
Sorry @deadbforucme - I don’t know for sure. Looking at the IFIXIT Teardown & the raw part I don’t see it. The newer versions has the force touch chip on the gasket. Review this guide: Apple Watch Force Touch Sensor Replacement
