My iphone4 will not come on. The battery has been giving me problems. Can i remove the battery by using a paperclip since i dont have proper tools & could this fix the problem

No, you will puncture the battery and it’ll be nasty. Always use the plastic tab first. If the tab breaks, try using a credit card to pry up the battery FROM THE OTHER SIDE instead.

I would not recommend it. If you puncture the battery you will get a nice breath of toxic ammonia. Try a spudger or even a flat head screwdriver. There is a bunch of adhesive under the battery you need to fight against.
